ASEA has developed a new remote digital touch display that provides more convenience for converter monitoring and troubleshooting. Being connected by a serial RS232 connection, the unit can be up to 50ft away from the converter in a convenient location for the engine room engineer.
This new display allows engineers to view the status of the converter and make minor changes to the unit. The unit also allows for easier identification of error codes as well as keeps a history of error events that can be downloaded and sent to ASEA technical support for quicker troubleshooting. The addition of service logging and service event reminders ensures that the proper maintenance can be applied to the converter and technicians can see previous maintenance events and previous technician contact information for better service of the converter.
